We spoke to Turkish based architect and interior designer Irem Erekinci about her recent Japanese concept store: Project Moonloo.
Known for her bold and vibrant color palettes, meticulous symmetry and whimsical geometries, Irem Erekinci once again weaves her magic into her latest boutique project. Located in Japan, this cheerful boutique induces instant delight with its funky pastel allure.
Characterized by a blush pink back wall and curvy concave bordered with a soft glow, the heart of Moonloo highlights their latest collection in contemporary glassware and vases. As your eyes wander through, the display on the right wall seamlessly complements the central focal point, giving the unique characters their own windows to shine. Moonloo doesn't just showcase their collection, they craft an atmosphere where you can truly feel the soul of their products.
Inspired by desserts and all things sweet, Moonloo’s palette is a symphony of saccharine pastels that fill you with joy and happiness, much like dessert. The colors and layout transport you to the enchanting aisles of a candy store, invoking a sense of wonder.
Irem's unique talent for drawing inspiration from the everyday rekindles our inner child, serving as a poignant reminder of the boundless potential that springs from our imagination.
The way this space enhances the shopping experience and lifts your spirits is truly inspiring. If you’re a lover of pastel objects and vibrant decor, it would be hard to leave without making a purchase. We're looking forward to seeing Irem's next design venture.
